For these service hours, the troop cleaned the entire log cabin that the Seminole Methodist Church graciously allows us to use for our meetings and to hold all our equipment. For background information, this cabin was built in 1935 and throughout the years, it has been many different things, such as a school, a meeting place for the Seminole Methodist Church Civics Club and has hosted other community activities as needed. Since the 1940’s, this cabin has housed Troop 340 and we all had no problem jumping in to clean it in its entirety when asked and clean it we did! It was an amazing sight to see so many people show up with tons of different tools and cleaning equipment to get this job done properly and to maintain the historical importance of the cabin. As usual, this troop shows up when needed and they aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty to get the job done.
