This hurricane season hit our county hard and we had two hurricanes within weeks of each other that caused catastrophic damage to our community. While these storms wreaked havoc on many throughout the county, our troop made sure to help anyone that we could whether it was something big or small and once it was safe to do so, we helped put back together the church that graciously allows us to use their facilities for our meetings and house all our equipment and for the most part, thankfully, nothing was seriously damaged anywhere on the properties. Although this was an unprecedented time for many of us, our troop continues to lean in and help wherever and whoever they can, and I couldn’t be prouder of them for their contributions within our community.
