NYLT is an intensive, interactive experience in outdoor living and leadership skills development with the program focusing on what a leader must BE, what a leader must KNOW and what a leader must DO (National Youth Leadership Training, 2024). This training provides scouts with leadership skills and experience that they can use within their troop and in any other situations that require leadership of themselves and/or others. With that said, three of our scouts Johnathen, Jahki and Brayden chose to invest in themselves to be better leaders for our troop and they hit the ground running to learn and grow all they could within the two weekends so that they could come back and share information to the rest of the troop. In addition, we had another scout Chayton, who served as the course Senior Patrol Leader where he oversaw key program elements and led the Boy Troop at camp. Way to go scouts, we are super proud of you and your accomplishments.
