For this camp out, the scouts went on a hiking adventure and they hiked an impressive eight miles round trip with all their gear on them (the trail angels aka the Watsons left them gallons of water to rehydrate at the halfway point to their camp and the scouts were super grateful for their thoughtfulness) and then they set up their camp along the trail for the night and hiked back to their pickup point. This camp out was remarkable in many ways as many of the scouts had never hiked with all their camping gear and it was a long hike, however, everyone came back with smiles and stated that they would love to do it again with the caveat of maybe not hiking as far the next time, which to me, says a lot about the tenacity of this troop.
