This year’s winter camp was at Camp La-No-Che in Paisely, Florida and the scouts had the opportunity to choose from tons of merit badges that are not typically offered during summer camp, so they were super excited to get there to start their newest adventure despite the fact that they would face some challenges along the way with the weather.  What were some of the challenges with the weather, you ask? Well, not only did they have to deal with some rain (no big deal there really, we do live in Florida after all), BUT it was freezing too (picture scouts in lots of layers, gloves, etc., it was that kind of COLD).  However, do you think they let the weather challenges get in their way?  No, they did not, they rose up and embraced the challenges and moved onto doing what they do best, which is to learn new things and bring fun with them in whatever they are doing.  Oh, the fun that this troop brings with them is truly a sight to see, it is impossible to have a bad day when you are in their presence as you are typically laughing too hard to even think about anything else and that is not an exaggeration, I promise (we have the pictures to prove it if you do not believe me)!  Now, I am sure you are thinking that this troop only puts in the work to have fun, but I can assure you that they work just as hard, if not harder, at their merit badges and they also embody the purpose of what it means to be a scout;  they are an impressive troop that is for sure and  we are proud of everything that they have accomplished throughout their journey thus far.
