For this camp out, the troop had the opportunity to stay at Kelly Park where they practiced their orienteering skills.  If you are not familiar with orienteering, it involves the scouts use of a map and compass to navigate on unfamiliar terrain while continuously moving to find and identify the control points.  Overall, the scouts finished in 17th place for the new GPS based course and brought home the adage of not all who wander are lost (although one patrol definitely wandered and got lost).  Once everyone made it back to camp, they also got to enjoy a tubing adventure and per their norm, there were lots of laughs as well as good natured ribbing to wind down their fun weekend.
