Flag Placement Service Hours – May 28, 2023

For these service hours, the troop assisted with placing flags on the veteran’s graves at Bay Pines for Memorial Day to acknowledge and honor those who have served our country and have been laid to rest.  If you have not experienced this event, it is eye opening as there are so many people there to pay their respects and then they kneel down to place a flag in the center of a headstone while thanking the veteran for their service and once all flags are placed on the graves, the hundreds of flags waving in the wind is an astonishing sight to see.  It is an amazing way to honor our fallen soldiers.
