Eagle Project 1: Landscaping Box-April 16

The troop has the honor of helping two scouts achieve their goal this year of becoming an Eagle Scout, no easy feat, that is for sure.  For the first scout, the project that they chose to undertake is a landscaping box that their high school graciously accepted to have placed in between the school’s baseball fields.  This landscaping box will help to beautify the grounds of the school and some of the benefits are that it’s easier to maintain what is planted as there are less weeds, there is better water retention and better drainage, more growing space and less soil that erodes because the box is framed out.    This scout’s project would not have come to fruition so quickly if not for the troop’s all hands-on deck mindset that continues to shine through time and time again.
