A part of earning the Citizen in the Community merit badge, the scout must attend a meeting of either our city, town, county council, school board; or attend a municipal, county, or state court session. Our troop chose to attend a meeting with the City of Seminole Council. During this meeting, the troop was able to watch three different grant presentations from SPC College, SPCA and Pinellas Hope; these presentations helped show the troop what goes on in the background within our community and that it really does take a village for growth to continue by having funding opportunities available to them in their time of need.
